Transceivers provide strong immunity against EMC events

Analog Devices ADM2461E/2463E Transceivers provide 500kbps and 5.7kVRMS signal isolated RS-485 transceiver and pass radiated emissions testing to the EN55032 Class B standard with margin on two-layer PCB.

These transceivers provide strong immunity to system-level EMC events and noise. The devices are protected against ≥±12kV contact and ≥±15kV air IEC61000-4-2 electrostatic discharge events on the RS-485 A, B, Y, and Z pins. These transceivers provide cable invert pins to offer quick correction of the reversed cable connection on the A, B, Y, and Z bus pins. These transceivers are optimised for low speed across long cable runs and display a maximum of 500kbps data rate.

Typical applications include ESD and heating, ventilation, air conditioning networks, industrial field buses, building automation, and utility networks.
