Analog multiplexers suitable for use in portable applications

Diodes Incorporated PS508 and PS509 36V Analog Multiplexers, available now from Mouser, produce very low on and off leakage currents, enabling signals to switch from high input impedance sources with minimum error. The devices also offer a low supply current of 135µA, allowing use in portable applications.

The PS508 multiplexers provide 8:1 single-ended channels, whereas the PS509 offer differential 4:1 or dual 4:1 single-ended channels. The devices both work equally well with either dual supplies (±5V to ±18V) or a single supply (10V to 36V). Furthermore, the devices also perform well with symmetric supplies (such as VDD = 12V, VSS = –12V), and unsymmetric supplies (such as VDD = 12V, VSS = –5V). All digital inputs offer TTL-logic compatible thresholds, supporting both TTL and CMOS logic compatibility when running in the valid supply voltage range.

Typical applications include factory automation and industrial process controls, programmable logic controllers, analog input modules, ATE test equipment, digital multimeters, and battery monitoring systems.
