Compact high-efficiency amplifier provides high performance

Qorvo QPA9901 High-Efficiency Amplifier is a linearisable power amplifier IC providing a 2.11GHz to 2.2GHz frequency range, contained in a compact 5mm2 surface mount package. The device is available now from Mouser. This InGaP/GaAs HBT device provides high performance over wideband frequencies with +35.6dBm P3dB while sustaining 32% PAE at 28dBm average operation power.

The device is aimed at use as a power amplifier with a DPD linearisation technique in wireless infrastructure where high linearity, medium power, and high efficiency are needed. The device is an outstanding device for transceiver line cards in current and next-generation multi-carrier 3G/4G/5G base stations.

Typical applications include 3GPP band 66 small cells, M-MIMO, repeaters/DAS, mobile infrastructure, and general-purpose wireless.
