Vishay Intertechnology has increased its TNPU e3 series of Automotive Grade ultra-precision thin film flat chip resistors with lower temperature coefficients down to ±2ppm/K in the 0603, 0805, and 1206 case sizes.

Providing excellent long-term stability — eg, permitted maximum resistance change ≤0.05% for 1,000 hours at rated power P70 — the Vishay Draloric TNPU e3 series consolidates the proven reliability of the well-known TNPW e3 series with the lower TCR and tighter tolerances down to ±0.02% for improved accuracy. This unique combination makes the AEC Q200 qualified resistors ideally suited for applications including operational amplifier circuits and sensors for test and measurement, automotive, medical, industrial, and telecommunications equipment.

The series with TCR down ±2ppm/K is offered in 0603, 0805, and 1206 case sizes, with resistance values from 500Ohm to 20kOhm. Providing superior moisture resistivity (85C; 85% RH), sulfur resistance in accordance to ASTM B 809, and a wide temperature range of -55C to +125C, the resistors possess remarkably stable operation that endures even harsh environmental conditions.

The devices are ideal for processing on automatic SMD assembly systems and for automatic soldering employing wave, reflow, or vapour phase. The resistors are RoHS-compliant, and their pure tin plating offers compatibility with lead (Pb)-free and lead (Pb)-containing soldering processes.
