Diodes Incorporated AP62600 Synchronous Buck Converter provides a broad input voltage range of 4.5V to 18V and a 6A continuous output current. The device, available now from Mouser, fully integrates a 36mOhm high-side power MOSFET and a 14mOhm low-side power MOSFET to give high-efficiency step-down DC-DC conversion. The device is easily utilised by reducing the external component count due to its adoption of COT control to deliver a fast transient response, easy loop stabilisation, and low output voltage ripple.

The device design is optimised for EMI reduction. The device has a proprietary gate driver scheme to combat switching node ringing with no sacrificing MOSFET turn-on and turn-off times, which decreases high-frequency radiated EMI noise generated by MOSFET switching.

The converter is provided in a compact V-QFN2030-12 (Type A) package, and is completely lead-free and fully RoHS compliant.

Typical applications include 5V and 12V distributed power bus supplies; television sets and monitors; white goods and small home appliances; FPGA, DSP, and ASIC supplies; home audio; network systems; gaming consoles; consumer electronics; and general-purpose POL.
