The Texas Instruments 20-bit DAC11001A, 18-bit DAC91001, and 16-bit DAC81001 (DACx1001) are extremely accurate, low-noise, single-channel, voltage-output, DACs. The devices are specified monotonic by design and provide excellent linearity of less than 4LSB (max) over all ranges.

The unbuffered voltage output provides low noise performance (7nV/√Hz) in combination with a fast settling time (1µs), presenting this device as an attractive choice for low-noise, fast control-loop, and waveform generation applications. The device integrates an enhanced deglitch circuit with code-independent ultra-low glitch (1nV-s) to allow clean waveform ramps with ultra-low THD.

The devices include a power-on-reset circuit so the DAC powers with known values in the registers. With external references, DAC output extends from VREFPF to VREFNF can be delivered, incorporating asymmetric output ranges.

The device employs a versatile four-wire serial interface that operates at clock rates of up to 50MHz. The device is specified across the industrial temperature range of –40C to +125C.
