Texas Instruments has introduced the TI SimpleLink LPSTK-CC1352R LaunchPad SensorTag kit. The solution is a fully enclosed and battery-operated kit is designed to enable rapid prototyping, helping IoT developers evaluate new product designs without needing to develop any hardware or software from scratch.

The kit provides integrated environmental and motion sensors, Sub 1 GHz swivel antenna, multi-band wireless connectivity, and easy-to-use software to offer a quick path to producing connected products. The kit includes the CC1352R SimpleLink multiband and multiprotocol wireless microcontroller, supporting concurrent Sub-1GHz and 2.4GHz operation in a single-chip device. Facilitating a mixture of networking options, the microcontroller’s FCC, CE, and IC-certified radio is compatible with Bluetooth Low Energy, Thread, Zigbee, and 802.15.4 PHY and MAC.

Developers can utilise the kit with other kits in the LaunchPad development ecosystem, including the LAUNCHXL-CC1352R1 LaunchPad development kit, to produce custom topologies, employing the microcontroller’s wide offering of connectivity stacks. The kit also comprises ambient light, temperature and humidity, Hall effect, and accelerometer sensors, with the flexibility to add numerous more through the company's BoosterPack ecosystem and other components.
