Miniaturisation of MCCs for automotives with enhanced functionality

Taiyo Yuden has commercialised 11 products, incorporating the 1005-size multilayer ceramic capacitor HMR105 B7103KV (1mm x 0.5mm x 0.5mm, with a rated voltage of 100V and a capacitance of 0.01μF).

The company has sophisticated the materials and process technologies nurtured by them to enhanced rated voltage to 100V compared to their conventional product UMR105 B7103KV (1mm x 0.5mm x 0.5mm, with a rated voltage of 50V and a capacitance of 0.01μF), and deliver approximately a 75% reduction in size compared to the 1608-size (1.6mm x 0.8mm x 0.8mm) conventional product HMR107 B7103KA (rated voltage of 100V, capacitance of 0.01μF). The product is compatible with AEC-Q200.

The products will be employed for power line anti-noise parts that can be utilised in onboard devices for automotive power trains including engines and transmissions.
