IEC filters for class I appliances reduce EMI from power mains

The XP Power FIHM high attenuation dual-stage filters are intended to lessen electromagnetic interference originating from power mains. The filters absorb the noise produced by the device itself or other equipment around it.

The filters are enclosed in a compact, chassis mounting metal case for medical applications offering a low 5μA @250VAC earth leakage. Input and output connections are through 6.3mm x 0.8mm Faston terminals. The filter should always be fitted as near as possible to the mains cable entry point to reduce any radiated emissions from the mains cable inside the equipment.

Ideal for class I appliances, all models offer a shielded metal body and are fitted with a bleed resistor to safely discharge the filter capacitors when power is disconnected. They provide an extensive operating temperature range from -40C to +110C with full power operation up to +50C.
