Non-isolated DC-DC converters can operate from a wide input voltage range

Sager Electronics now stocks TDK-Lambda’s i6A4W non-isolated DC-DC converter series.

Capable of working from a wide input voltage of up to 9V to 53V, the company's i6A4W step-down converters provides an output voltage that can be altered from 3.3V to 15V or 3.3V to 40V. The series can work from existing 12, 24, 36 or 48V system voltages to generate extra high power voltages in communications, medical, industrial and test and measurement equipment.

The series uses less than 0.47in2 of board area, representing a 60% saving compared to 1/16th brick format converters. With efficiencies of up to 97.5%, power losses are decreased, enabling the products to work in harsh ambient temperatures of -40C to 125C even with low airflow needs. The demand for external output capacitance is decreased due to an optimised dynamic voltage response, therefore further decreasing board space requirements.

All models are certified to UL/CSA 60950-1, IEC/EN 60950-1 and carry the CE mark for the Low Voltage and RoHS Directives.
