Taiwan Semiconductor has introduced a highly integrated dimmable LED controller for automotive lighting in MSOP-10EP package and AEC-Q100 qualified.

TS19501CB10H is a single channel LED driver providing low-side-current sense and a device temperature grade 1 (-40C to 125C). The controller supports common topologies such as Boost, Buck-Boost and SEPIC and functions in DCM, BCM and CCM mode. The jitter function offers an effective spread spectrum to decrease EMI. Output current regulation is based on average current mode control supervised by a control loop. The fault flag is connected to a pull-up resistor from VDC. The fault status flag is latched by the timer when output is low.

The company's LED Controller is optimised for automotive lighting applications but also fit for LED applications that use Buck-Boost topology.
