Analog Devices LTC7841 PolyPhase Synchronous Boost Controllers drive two N-channel power MOSFET stages out-of-phase. Multiphase operation decreases input and output capacitor demands and allows the usage of smaller inductors than the single-phase equivalent. Synchronous rectification increases efficiency lessens power loss and eases thermal demands allowing high power boost applications.

The device offers an output voltage that can be modified up to 60V with a 0.2% resolution via a PMBus-compliant serial interface. The serial interface can also be utilised to read back fault status, input/output voltage, input/output current, and temperature. The LTpowerPlay development system supports monitoring and system configuration. The PolyPhase operation allows the device to be configured for 2, 3, 4, 6, and 12-phase operation.

The device is ideal for automotive systems, medical, and industrial applications.
