Analog Devices LT3002 No-Opto Isolated Flyback Converter is a monolithic micropower isolated flyback converter. Through sampling the isolated output voltage straight from the primary-side flyback waveform, the part needs no third winding or optoisolator for regulation. The output voltage is programmed with two external resistors and a third arbitrary temperature compensation resistor. Boundary mode operation gives a small magnetic solution with superior load regulation. Low ripple Burst Mode operation sustains high efficiency at light load while reducing the output voltage ripple. A 3.6A, 65V DMOS power switch is combined along with all the high voltage circuitry and control logic into a thermally enhanced eight-lead SO package.

The device operates from an input voltage range of 4V to 36V and produces up to 10W of isolated output power. The high level of integration and the usage of boundary and low ripple burst modes show in a simple to use, low component count, and high-efficiency application solution for isolated power delivery.

Typical applications include isolated automotive, industrial, medical power supplies; and isolated auxiliary/housekeeping power supplies.
