Gate drive optocouplers ideal for space-constrained industrial applications

Broadcom ACNT-H343 5A Gate Drive Optocouplers, available now from Mouser, in a 15mm SSO-8 package are designed for high voltage, space-constrained industrial applications. These applications incorporate 690VAC motor drives and 1.5kVDC solar inverters. The optocouplers provide a package platform offering a wide 15mm creepage and 14.2mm clearance. Furthermore, the package provides high insulation voltage and a compact package footprint, giving enhanced high voltage protection and signal isolation in tight spaces.

The optocouplers offer a common-mode transient immunity greater than 100kV/μs, stopping erroneous gate driver failures in noisy environments. Further features on the device offer minimal propagation delay, three times faster than the previous generation, facilitating high frequency switching to increase efficiency in driving IGBT and SiC/GaN MOSFET.
