Mouser Electronics, Inc. now stocks Panasonic's SN-GCQB1 laser-type air quality sensor. The air quality sensor accurately measures temperature, humidity, particulate matter, TVOCs, and eCO2. Suitable for indoor and outdoor monitoring, the sensor is ideal for the retail, medical, and smart building industries. The sensor supports a range of applications, including HVAC systems, air purifiers, greenhouses, and industrial and manufacturing facilities.

The sensor employs a high-precision optical sensor and laser diode to detect particulate matter, including dust, fly ash, soot, smoke, aerosols, fumes, and condensing vapours. The sensor can also monitor emissions from construction materials, fireplaces, forest fires, and waste incineration. It features an optimised air pathway structure to lower particulate accumulation and safeguard electrical components. An onboard MPU and micro-fan improve the sensor's functionality and efficiency, while auto-calibration ensures accurate measurements for over ten years of usable life.

The SN-GCQB1 air quality sensor has a unique resin outer shell that protects it against electromagnetic radiation for long-time drift performance, measurement stability, and response time. Measuring 37mm x 37mm x 12mm, the all-in-one air quality sensor is excellent for wearables, smart home applications, and other compact devices. The SN-GCQB1 sensor measures relative humidity from 0% to 100% with ±3% accuracy and temperatures from -10C to +60C with ±0.4C accuracy. The sensor is designed to identify particulate matter in three critical categories: PM1.0, PM2.5, and PM10.
