High-performance converter offers convection-cooled thermal-block design

Traco Power extends their TEQ 40 Series of 40W railway, rugged industrial DC-DC converters with dual outputs of ±12, ±15 and ±24VDC.

The TEQ 40WIR are a series of isolated high-performance railway DC-DC-converter modules with ultra-wide 4:1 input voltage ranges. The series comprises of 21 models providing 9-36, 18-75, 43-160V input ranges and outputs of 5, 12, 15, 24, ±12, ±15 and ±24VDC. High efficiency of 87-88% combined with thermal-block construction provides a convection/full-load operating temperature range of -40C to +83C (up to +93C with power derating).

Features include 2,250VDC I/O Isolation; under-voltage lockout; over-temperature protection; and short circuit protection. The series is qualified for EN 61373 and MIL-STD-810 for mechanical shock, thermal shock and vibration. All models are safety approved to UL/IEC/EN 60950-1 (CB Report), and EN50155 with an internal filter for EN 55032 class B conducted and radiated emissions, supported by the company's three-year warranty.
