Amphenol RF has expanded its SMA Quick-Connect adapter line with a right angle version that significantly lessens mating time and needs no extra tooling, making it ideal for test and measurement applications.
As with their previously released straight version, this precision-machined 50Ohm adapter provides for quick and easy mating with all current threaded SMA jack and plug connectors.
The adapter simply converts any standard SMA Plug test cable into a Quick-Connect cable with no compromise of the electrical integrity of the assembly. This adapter sustains the same high-quality coupling that is expected from a threaded interface. Also, the unique push-turn thread on, pull off style of coupling used by this adapter does not need any tooling for mating or unmating. This right angle adapter provides exceptional electrical performance through 20GHz and is created with a gold plated, brass body.
Employing this adapter together with any existing SMA Plug test cable reduces the time and effort required in the testing process while at the same time increasing the life expectancy of the test cable.
