Power cable plug targeted at applications with high loads or harsh environments

Neutrik's powerCON TRUE1 TOP power cable plug is now available from Bürklin. As the entertainment industry expands and evolves, there is an increasingly higher demand on connection systems. There is a singular desire for robust outdoor connectors resistant to environmental influences that are suitable for applications with high loads or harsh environments.

Applications include lighting systems, PA systems, displays and LED screens, for railway stations, airports, public facilities and similar installations.

The company has developed this new series for demanding outdoor applications. TOP stands for 'True Outdoor Protection'. The new series incorporates the powerCON TRUE1, etherCON and XLR series. These highly resistant connectors provide not only IP65 protection but also UV resistance according to UL50E for enclosure type 4. The power connector possesses a switch-off function with a lockable 16A 1-phase connection. The integrated Twist-Lock system is simple and reliable. A specifically developed strain relief fastens the connection even under severe conditions. The new series is certified according to IEC60320 ENEC.
