MMIC low-pass filter provides excellent microphonics

17-07-2019 | Analog Devices | Semiconductors

Analog Devices HMC881A MMIC Low-Pass Filter highlights a user-selectable cutoff frequency. The cutoff frequency can be altered from 2.4GHz to 4GHz by utilising a single analog tuning voltage between 0V and 14V. This low-pass filter gives a low 3dB insertion loss, 16.5dB return loss and 1.35xf3dB stopband attenuation of >20dB. This tunable filter can be employed as a far smaller alternative to physically large switched filter banks and cavity tuned filters. The device provides excellent microphonics due to the monolithic design and gives a dynamically adjustable solution in advanced communications applications. The low-pass tunable filter is packaged in a RoHS compliant 5mm x 5mm LFCSP package.

Typical applications include testing and measurement equipment; defence radar and electronic countermeasures, satellite communication and space, and industrial and medical equipment.
