Mouser now stocks the QPA2308 MMIC power amplifier from Qorvo. Engineered for commercial and defence applications, the device offers high-power density and power-added efficiency for 5 to 6GHz RF-based designs. Fabricated on the company's production 0.25um GaN-on-SiC process, this MMIC power amplifier simplifies system integration and provides remarkable performance in a compact 15.24mm x 15.24mm bolt-down package.

The power amplifier provides greater than 60W of saturated output power and over 21dB of large-signal gain. The device’s PAE)is rated at greater than 47%, and the RF output power where the device begins to draw positive gate current (PSAT) is measured at 48dBm. Input return loss for the amplifier is specified at 14dB to 23dB, while the output return loss is 13dB. To simplify system integration, the device also supplies two RF ports that are fully matched to 50Ohms, each integrated with DC blocking capacitors.

The company's device has an operating temperature of -40C to 85C, and power dissipation of 140W (at 85C). The RoHS compliant amplifier is perfect for RF applications such as C-Band Radars, satellite (Satcom) and space communications, and electronic defence technologies.
