Anritsu Company has introduced a 43.5GHz frequency option for its two and four-port ShockLine MS46122B, MS46322B, MS46522B, and MS46524B VNAs with guaranteed specifications using the company's Extended-KTM type connectors and components. The ShockLine family claims to be the first VNA to support specified 43.5GHz functionality in a K-connector environment, producing distinct cost-of-test and time-to-market advantages in high-frequency applications, including 5G, satellite, and signal integrity.

With the introduction of the calibration kits and accessories, the option removes the requirement to use inconvenient adaptors or entirely change the connector type. It offers design and manufacturing engineers an efficient solution that adds the crucial 3.5GHz to a test environment for verification of products employed in emerging applications.

The company used its design and characterisation abilities to increase the K-connector frequency performance. The further 3.5GHz of guaranteed coverage allows customers to continue in the K-connector environment rather than turn to more expensive and less robust 2.4mm connectors, delivering excellent cost and improving compatibility across test environments.
