RS Components offers the Bourns Precision Sensor portfolio, which provides a highly dependable series of pressure and humidity sensors for measuring relative humidity and other environmental conditions.
The BPS230 humidity sensor offers one of the smallest form factors available – measuring only 2mm x 2mm x 0.75mm – and provides high quality, high performance and excellent reliability.
The sensor also provides very stable performance over the life of the product: a low TEB of at least 3% accuracy over a calibrated temperature range and a broad working temperature range from -40C up to +105C.
Key features of the portfolio comprise an extensive selection of devices to manage pressures from 0.15psi to 1.0psi and from 15psi to 500psi, with extremely high sensitivity for the ultra-low-pressure devices. Also, models are offered that are compatible for employment in specific harsh environments in air, liquid or gases.
Based on MEMS technology, the BPS110 and BPS120 series are high precision sensors intended for ultra-low-pressure applications and offer 1.5% TEB over the 0C to +60C range. They also provide an I2C digital or analog output, together with configurable ports and custom calibration available.
Typical applications for these sensors incorporate usage in commercial HVAC systems for filter monitoring, or in medical equipment, such as low/medium risk devices, excluding life-saving or life-critical apparatus, but including patient monitoring equipment. Low differential and gauge calibration pressure sensors are also available for CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) equipment or spirometers, for example.
