Maxim Integrated MAX25615 High-speed MOSFET Driver is an AEC-Q100 qualified device optimised for automotive applications. The device is available now from Mouser. The device provides independent source and sink outputs, and is able to sink 7A and source 3A peak currents. Inverting and non-inverting inputs give the device greater flexibility in controlling the MOSFET. The device also features two separate outputs operating in complementary mode, providing flexibility in controlling both turn-on and turn-off switching speeds.

The device has internal logic circuitry that stops shoot-through during output-state changes. The logic inputs are guarded against voltage spikes up to +16V, regardless of V+ voltage. Propagation delay time is minimised and matched between the inverting and non-inverting inputs. The MOSFET Driver has an extremely fast switching time, coupled with short propagation delays (12ns typical), making it perfect for high-frequency circuits. The IC operates from a +4V to +15.5V single power supply and typically consumes 0.5mA of supply current. The device has standard TTL input logic levels.

The driver is provided in a lead(Pb)-free, RoHS-compliant, six-pin SOT-23 package, and operates over the -40C to +12C temperature range.

Typical applications include power MOSFET switching, switch-mode power supplies, DC-DC converters, motor control, and time-of-flight cameras.
