The AAEON AI Core X an AI Edge Computing Board with IntelMovidius Myriad X VPU, MYDX x1 is new RDS. It can reach 105FPS and can perform over one trillion floating point operations per second as a dedicated neural network accelerator. The Myriad X can process video and perform facial recognition in real-time and as an ultra-low power VPU requires very little energy.

The AI Core X is created on the mPCIe factor, which confirms it is compact and created to work in a broad variety of applications. Other features of this board comprise of Intel Vision Accelerator Design SW SDK, a supported framework consisting of TensorFlow, Caffe and MXNET, and Ubunto 16.04 and Windows 10.

Also available is the IntelDistribution of OpenVINO toolkit. Now, applications and solutions can be produced that imitate human vision. Based on convolutional neural networks, it allows CNN-based deep learning inference at the edge. The toolkit spreads workloads across Intel hardware, comprising accelerators and maximises performance. It expedites time to market via a library of functions and pre-optimised kernels as well as adding optimised calls for OpenCV and OpenVX.
