The Coeur CST High-Current Interconnect System from Molex is now in stock at Mouser. The interconnects’ individual design affords up to 1mm of float to stop overstress damage to contacts and secure easy mating between high-current power pins and sockets in industrial, telecommunications, data centre, and power supplies applications. The system offers wave springs that enable the entire core socket assembly to move within its housing, stopping pin-to-socket axial-mating misalignment when mating rigid busbars or PCBs. The system allows a current range of 30A to 200A, with a scalable design that supports a variety of high-current applications. The system’s multiple contact beams assure optimal electrical performance, and a broad range of configurations connects cables, PCBs, busbars, and wire. Terminal retention housings lock in contacts and secure reliable performance, and the system’s fully shrouded male and female contacts are touch-safe. The system provides design flexibility for a variety of high-current applications, including servers, circuit breakers, switches, data storage, and instrumentation.
