Global distribution agreement signed for distance sensor solutions

Mouser has signed a global distribution agreement with Terabee, who design small, high-performance distance sensors for robotics, drone and IoT applications. The company can now supply a mixture of their TeraRanger sensors. The TeraRanger Evo distance sensors measure a single axis and return distance values in millimetres at high speed. The 29mm x 29mm modules are provided in long-range (60m) or fast-data (600Hz) versions and need either a USB or I2C/UART backboard for power. The plug-and-play, eye-safe, and easy-to-use modules are excellent for drone altimeter, proximity distance sensing robotics distance sensing and presence detection, and traffic monitoring sensing. The Hub Evo is a compact and lightweight board that allows engineers to connect up to eight Evo distance sensors and stream distance data in millimetres via USB or UART interfaces, easily enabling it to create custom sensor arrays. The Tower Evo is a solid-state LIDAR system with either four or eight detection zones monitored simultaneously at high-speeds. The device is offered with either 60m modules or 600Hz modules. The TeraRanger One is a lightweight, high-performance distance measurement sensor based on infrared ToF technology. The sensor offers super­fast distance readings up to 1000 times per second with an accuracy of ±4cm and a range up to 14m. The low weight and small size make this sensor perfect for robotics, automation and drone applications. TeraRanger Multiflex is a modular solution with a range of up to 2m for indoor applications including robotics and stock level tracking. The solution comprises eight plug-and-play sensor modules on one flexible bus, making it simple to produce custom configurations, placing sensors where required. An array of calibrated distances in millimetres is streamed from the Multiflex Hub, giving an ideal and higher performance alternative to ultrasound for robot collision avoidance and other shorter-range distance sensing requirements. The solution is available in two versions; Multiflex and Multiflex PCB. Multiflex has dust and splash protection covers and provides the fastest refresh rates, while Multiflex PCB has a longer range of up to 2m.
