Maxim MAXREFDES101 Health Sensor Platform 2.0 is a unique evaluation and development platform in a wrist-worn wearable form factor. This device is now available from Mouser. This platform shows the functions of a broad range of the company's products for health-sensing applications. This health sensor platform combines a PPG AFE sensor, a biopotential AFE, a human body temperature sensor and a microcontroller. The platform also integrates a power-management IC and a six-axis accelerometer/gyroscope. The complete platform incorporates a watch enclosure and a biometric sensor hub with an embedded heart-rate algorithm. Algorithm output and raw data can be streamed through Bluetooth to an Android app or PC GUI for demonstration, evaluation, and customised development. Typical applications include wearable sports watch, healthcare tracker, on-demand ECG monitor, and heart signal data tracker.
