Heraeus Sensor Technology Ceramic Housing RTD High-Temperature Sensors, available now from Mouser, encapsulate a platinum RTD element into an aluminium oxide ceramic housing to provide excellent electrical isolation. These sensors are offered with either Pt100 or Pt1000 resistance values and provide a small diameter for insertion into metal housings of 0.156" (3.96mm) and larger. The 24AWG lead wires are fibreglass-insulated with a wire resistance of 0.030Ohm/ft (0.098Ohm/m) for each conductor. With a 500C maximum operating temperature, these ceramically-housed RTD temperature sensors are ideal for temperature probe assembly and laboratory settings as well as heating, air conditioning, and ventilation applications.
Applications requiring an electrically insulating/non-metallic sensor body; laboratory ovens, furnaces, and instrumentation, heating, air conditioning and ventilation; and temperature probe assemblies.
