Omron Automation A2W Wireless Pushbutton Switches, available now from Mouser, employ sub-GHz band to combine ease-of-use and wireless reliability in varying work environments. Manufacturing sites need more versatile and flexible production systems due to the many changeovers of low volume production. The A2W switches provide the freedom of production line layouts, are a simple addition to existing facilities, and installation on moving parts. The 922.5MHz frequency band of these pushbutton switches lessons interference by producing a better signal in locations with obstacles. These switches are capable of self-power generation by the button tactile operation to remove the need for a power supply, batteries or maintenance. This improves safety and energy saving in the pushbuttons. The switches establish visualisation of pushbutton reception status using the existing reception confirmation LEDs. Supporting up to one million operations, these switches are offered in six colours and two designs. The switches feature IP-65 rated degree of protection against water and dust. Typical applications comprise automated guided vehicles, fork-lifts, closing shutters or doors of warehouses, and notifying ON/OFF information.
