Dual MOSFET driver ideal for SMPS and drive applications

Microchip Technology MCP14A0455 4.5A Dual MOSFET Driver provides a peak current up to 4.5A while operating from a single 4.5V to 18V supply. The device is available now from Mouser. The device features a dual complementary output (one inverting and one non-inverting), fast rise and fall times, low shoot through current, and short propagation delays. The driver provides enhanced control with enable functionality. The active-high enable pin can be driven low to drive the outputs of the device low, despite the status of the input pins. An integrated pull-up resistor allows the user to leave the enable pin floating for standard operation. This device is highly latch-up resistant under any state within its power and voltage ratings. The device can accept up to 500mA of reverse current being forced back into the outputs with no damage or logic upset. All terminals of the device are completely protected against ESD up to 2kV (Human Body Model) and 200V (Machine Model). Typical applications include switch mode power supplies, pulse transformer drives, line drivers, level translators, motor drives, and solonoid drives.
