Ultra-low ESR polymer capacitors ensure the highest circuit efficiency

16-07-2018 | TTI Europe | Passives

Vishay has increased its line of Polymer Tantalum Capacitors with ESR levels of less than 10mOhms. They are available now from TTI Europe. These advanced capacitors provide reduced circuit losses, improved frequency performance, and better ripple handling ability. Ideal for use in output filtering in low-noise power supplies or microprocessor decoupling applications. The levels of ESR ensure high ripple current capacity for reduced heating and longer life. The low ESR also brings good noise suppression and transient response. Unlike MLCC, polymer offers stable capacitance over the full voltage range and operational temperature; also unlike Aluminum Capacitors, Polymer capacitors do not lose capacitance over their useful life. They do not emit piezo-electric noise as seen with MLCC, either. Polymer tantalum offers the industry's best volumetric efficiency ensuring the highest capacitance density available. The T55 Series also includes a wide variety of case sizes including 1608, 2012, and well as EIA standard A, B and D case sizes.
