Isolated DC-DC converter offers low cost, high performance and efficiency

The Traco TEC 3WI, available from RS Components, is a new series with the objective to enhance the prevalent 3W SIP-8 DC-DC converters regarding cost, performance and efficiency. The latest technology and components accomplish a high efficiency for a low thermal loss. This allows an operating temperature range from -40C up to +90C. The converters are fully regulated over 0-100% load (no minimum load is needed). The models are offered with ultra-wide input ranges of 4.5-18VDC, 9-36VDC and 18-75VDC. The functional I/O-isolation system has a test voltage (60s) of 1600VDC. It also offers continuous short circuit protection, with remote On/Off and comes with a three-year product warranty.
