New Class-D amplifiers solve smart-home audio design challenges

Texas Instruments offers three new digital-input Class-D audio amplifiers that allow engineers to produce high-resolution audio in more smart-home and voice-enabled applications. By coupling first-of-its-kind integration, real-time protection and new modulation schemes, the company’s new audio devices enable creators to decrease board space and overall BOM cost. These new amplifiers are intended for personal electronics applications with any power level, including sound bars, smart speakers, notebooks, TVs, projectors and IoT applications. These new amplifiers join the company’s premium sound audio amplifier portfolio which allows engineers to create systems that produce high-quality sound across a range of applications, from automotive to personal electronics and professional audio systems.
