RS Components is stocking the Cree XLamp CMA high-current LEDs, which offer optical-source sizes and package sizes compatible with the standard-density CXA2 series. Being similar to these LEDs enables developers to produce higher-performing variants of current lighting products to meet new market opportunities efficiently. Created for best-in-class lumen output and efficacy at high drive currents, the series offers an enhanced metal COB design that delivers superior thermal management and reliability. Devices are available in 15mm, 18mm, 25mm and 30mm square package sizes, with 9mm, 12/14mm, 19mm and 23mm LES sizes respectively. They can be driven at up to 1050mA, for the 15mm parts, or 3600mA for 30mm parts, producing typical radiant flux from 16W to 82W respectively. The LEDs are offered in colour temperatures from 6500K to 2700K and leverage the company's EasyWhite technology for maximum colour consistency. The company is stocking parts in two-step or three-step EasyWhite bins, ensuring CCT within two or three Macadam ellipses of the nominal value, with minimum CRI options of 70, 80, 90 or 95. The range presents a versatile choice from the 36V CMA1516, CMA1825, CMA1840, and CMA2550, and 48V or 72V CMA3090 product lines. Offering efficacy of up to 163lm/W (typical, 4000K, 70 CRI CMA3090), the range of sizes and colour temperatures available makes the series an excellent choice for non-directional lighting such as residential replacement lamps, floor lamps, sconces, chandeliers, and table lamps, or directional lighting including MR and PAR replacements, track lighting, accent lighting, or spotlights. They are also perfect for downlighting products such as can lights, recessed lights, pendants and surface-mount lights.
