Optical sensor IC ideal for tablet PCs, smartphones and wearables

ROHM Semiconductor BH1792GLC Optical Sensor IC is a heart rate monitor IC module combined with LED driver, green light, and IR detection photodiode. This device is available now from Mouser. This device drives LED and produces the intensity of light reflected from a body. The LED brightness of the sensor is able to be adjusted by LED driver current. The optical sensor offers a built-in infrared photodiode for touch detection with high sensitivity for green light and excellent wavelength selectivity. This enables it to achieve accurate pulse-wave detection. The sensor module operates within -20C to 85C temperature range. Typical applications include tablet PCs, smartphones, and wearable devices.
