Mouser now stocks the Mini-Fit TPA 2 power connectors and cable assemblies from Molex. Part of the company's broad Mini-Fit family, the TPA 2 power connectors and cable assemblies offer a versatile, off-the-shelf solution that delivers current ratings up to 9A. The interconnects ensure proper mating in a variety of applications including automotive installations, home and consumer home appliances, office equipment and industrial automation. The power connectors and cable assemblies provide terminal position assistance (TPA) with a secondary locking feature, which reduces assembly error and ensures that terminals are properly seated. The connectors rely on a positive-lock receptacle to prevent accidental disengagement of mated connector assemblies. Compatible with existing Mini-Fit Jr headers and plugs, the power connectors can be simply incorporated without requiring to change both sides of the interface. The cable assemblies feature a multi-colour configuration to ensure correct connections. Created to support development and production programs, the cable assemblies feature UL 1061 discrete wires and offer pin-to-pin mapping from receptacle to PCB header while reducing resource requirements and engineering time. The RoHS-compliant cable assemblies meet current automotive industry standards, enabling their use in non-sealed applications, harnesses and inside devices.
