Available now from Mouser is the Maxim Integrated MAX14435 Four-Channel Digital Isolators. These devices are fast, low power, digital galvanic isolators made using the company's proprietary process technology. The devices transfer digital signals between circuits with varying power domains. The isolators use 0.58mW per channel at 1Mbps with a 1.8V supply and provide an isolation rating of 5kVRMS for 60 seconds. Output enable for the A side of the devices is active-low. This makes it perfect for isolating a port on a shared SPI bus since the CS signal can directly enable the MISO signal on the isolator. The devices are available in a 16-pin wide-body SOIC package with 8mm of clearance and creepage. The package material has a minimum CTI of 600V, which gives it a group 1 rating in creepage tables. All devices are rated for operation at ambient temperatures of -40C to +125C.
