A new generation of active harmonic filters features three-level IGBT inverter topology

Schaffner has introduced the eco sine active sync, a new generation of active harmonic filters. Drawing on the company’s wide experience and knowledge of applications, and solutions in power quality, the new modular ecosine active sync series offers best-fit technical and cost-effective solutions for the most demanding harmonic mitigation tasks. It is suitable for use with any non-linear load.

The ecosine active sync filter series provides a comprehensive solution concept which is modular and smaller than conventional filters and can be used as stand-alone modules or as part of a total system solution. Typical applications include the automation industry, building technology, elevators, data and banking centres, cement industry, battery charges, HVAC installations, oil and gas exploration, paper mills, steel industry, tunnel ventilation, ship propulsion, UPS systems, welding equipment, water/wastewater treatment, wind turbines, machines and automation.
