New LED Driver IC offers greater than 90% efficiency

Available now from RS Components, the CPC9909 series from IXYS offers high-efficiency, off-line, high-brightness LED driver ICs. They feature an internal regulator which enables a wide operating voltage range. The devices are suitable for numerous high-brightness LED applications. You can drive multiple LEDs in series or parallel with the CPC9909 LED driver IC. The LED drivers also offer PFM with the constant peak-current control scheme for stability. LED dimming is also achievable with the device. Suitable applications include RGB display backlighting, decorative lighting, signage and LED driver applications (DC-DC or AC/DC).
