Bourns has released two new series of thick film chip resistors that offer enhanced power ratings up to 2W at 70C. The models CRMxxxxA and CRSxxxxA are sulfur-resistant and AEC-Q200 compliant making them suitable for automotive driver assistant, entertainment, information and lighting applications, as well as automation, industrial, commercial, power supply and stepper-motor drive designs The company's latest resistor series have been designed to operate in harsh environments where there are elevated levels of sulfur contamination, and tested in accordance with ASTM B809-9 methods. The resistors are made using a thick film element printed onto a ceramic substrate, offering extra product lifespan benefits compared to standard film resistors when exposed to a sulfurous gas environment.
