Texas Instruments’ new IO-Link device transceiver, TIOL111, and digital output switch, TIOS101, cut power dissipation and integrate excellent EMC protection, while reducing overall board space and cost for industrial sensor applications. These families of devices also feature an optional integrated 3.3V or 5V LDO for up to 20mA current.
The devices feature integrated ESD, EFT and surge protection, which help to simplify system design while reducing PCM space by at least 43%. They offer low power dissipation operating at lower system temperatures with claimed power dissipation at 3x lower than competition. They are scalable, thermally efficient, tiny package, utilizing less board space with the flow-through, pin-compatible and interchangeable, in a 3mm x 2.5mm package.
