Fully encapsulated, ultra-compact power modules for medical applications

Power Sources Unlimited has announced the addition of the new Traco Power TMF Series of 5W-30W AC/DC power supplies that are designed and manufactured to comply with the rigorous requirements for quality, reliability and safety for today’s medical equipment. All units are approved to IEC/EN/ES 60601-1 Edition 3.1 for 2x MOPP (Means Of Patient Protection) and come with an ISO 14971 risk management file. These fully encapsulated modules are for PCB mount and offer single outputs of 5VDC, 12VDC, 15VDC and 24VDC. Universal AC input range of 90VAC-264VAC and high input DC range of 120VDC-370VDC. Standard features include overload, over voltage and short circuit protection, low leakage current (<100µA) and thermal management enables an operation within a wide temperature range of -25C to +70C. The isolation system is designed and approved for an altitude of 5000m (AMSL). Excellent EMC considerations that comply with conducted emission EN 55011 Class B. Protection Class II prepared. The TMF Series is not only suitable for stationary applications but also for transportable medical equipment.
