Mouser is now stocking the MAX32625/MAX32626 microcontrollers from Maxim Integrated. The devices are based on the 32-bit RISC ARM Cortex-M4F microcontroller with a FPU, and are ideally suited for medical and fitness applications. Both devices include 512MBytes of flash and 160kBytes of SRAM, with the architecture combining high-efficiency signal-processing functionality with low cost and ease of use. The MAX32626 is a secure version of the MAX32625, incorporating a trust protection unit (TPU) with advanced security features. The microcontrollers feature four powerful and flexible ultra-low-power modes for use in rechargeable devices. The built-in dynamic clock gating and firmware-controlled power gating minimize power consumption for any application. Multiple SPI, UART, and I2C serial interfaces, and a Maxim Integrated 1-Wire master and USB, allow for interconnection to a wide variety of external sensors. The devices also feature a four-input, 10-bit ADC with two 5.5V-tolerant inputs, making them suitable for monitoring batteries. The microcontrollers are supported by the MAX32625 evaluation kit, which provides a complete, functional system ideal for developing and debugging applications. The board includes many user-selectable options as well as on-board peripherals such as a Bluetooth® low energy transceiver, OLED display, and indicator LEDs. These microcontrollers are available in a 3mm × 3.9mm, 0.4mm-pitch, 63-ball WLP to minimize board space. They are ideal for small, low-power products, including sport watches, fitness monitors, wearable medical patches, portable medical devices and sensor hubs.
