Available now from Mouser, the ROHM BD570 Qi / PMA wireless power ICs are integrated devices for wireless power charging. The BD57020MWV wireless power transmitter IC is composed of inverters for the coil drive, a controller for the communication of the Qi compliant and demodulating circuit, a GPIO, TCXO buffer, and an I2C interface. The BD57015GWL wireless power receiver IC integrates a fully synchronous rectifier circuit with low-impedance FETs, Qi compliant packet controller, adjustable regulated voltage output, and an open-drain output terminal. These devices communicate using amplitude modulation.
These ICs comply with the latest WPC Qi standard for medium power transmission, ensuring support for 10W class wireless charging. Compatibility with existing low-power specifications (<5W) is also provided. In addition, these dual-mode devices are compliant with the PMA wireless power transmission standard (5W) developed for the North American market.
