Available from Mouser, Artesyn Embedded Technologies’ LGA80D digital DC-DC converter offers high current density ratings and a high typical efficiency rating of 95.5%. The LGA80D non-isolated digital DC-DC converter features a footprint of 25.4mm x 12.5mm and offers two independent and configurable 40amp, 100W outputs. These outputs can also be combined to a single configurable 80amp, 200W output. Higher current rated rails can be generated by connecting up to four units in parallel so that up to 320amps can be supplied as a single power rail.
The device can be controlled with resistors or controlled and monitored by using the industry standard PMBus digital interface. This is a result of both analog and digital control functions being enabled on this unit.
Applications include graphics, data or video processing, high power devices, such as server processors, FPGAs, supercomputers, network, storage and telecom equipment.
