High power density 360W medical AC/DC supply features BF-rated outputs

Expanding its established open-frame / u-channel product line, Power Partners has introduced a new medical, BF-rated output, AC/DC power supply. The PPWAM360 Series is designed to deliver 360W from a high power density 4 x 6 inch footprint with 90-264VAC input and five single-output models (12VDC, 24VDC, 28VDC, 48VDC and 54VDC). The series meets body floating (BF) rated output requirements, is Class I rated, and has approvals to UL/EN60601-1 3rd Edition Medical, and UL/EN60950-1 2nd Amendment ITE approvals. The series is also approved to the latest EN60601-1-2 4th edition EMC Medical standard. Units are 90% efficient at 230VAC input, have <100uA at 264VAC earth leakage current, 2X MOPP primary to secondary isolation, short circuit/overload/overvoltage protection and no-minimum load requirements. The operating temperature range is 0C to +70C (100% power to 50C, derating to 50% power at 70C), and MTBF >250,000 hours per Bellcore TR-332 at full load and 25C ambient. Additional safety and EMC approvals include FCC Class B radiated & conducted, EN55011/55022 Class B radiated and conducted, and EN60601-1-2: 2007. The PPWAM360 Series provides high-reliability and energy-efficient solutions for use in a variety of medical applications intended for settings such as hospitals / office and labs where high power is required, says the company.
