Texas Instruments DRV8837C low-voltage H-Bridge drivers, available from Mouser, provide an integrated motor driver solution various applications. These include cameras, consumer products, toys, and other low-voltage or battery-powered motion control applications. This device can drive one DC motor or other devices like solenoids. The output driver block consists of N-channel power MOSFETs that are configured as an H-bridge to drive the motor winding. An internal charge pump generates needed gate drive voltages. The device can supply up to 1A of output current. The device operates on a motor power supply voltage from 0 to 11V. The control logic can operate on 1.8V to 5V rails. The device includes a PWM (IN/IN) input interface. Internal shutdown functions are provided for over current protection, short circuit protection, under voltage lockout, and over temperature.
