Power Integrations LYTSwitch-7 LED Driver ICs, available from Mouser, support the highest efficiency TRIAC-dimmable, buck topology LED drivers in the market. The LYTSwitch-7 are capable of delivering up to 22W without a heat sink. The ICs have a small SO-8 footprint that is suitable for bulbs, tubes, and fixtures. The LYTSwitch-7 uses simple, passive damping for TRIAC management reducing component count by 40%. The ICs have a phase-cut (TRIAC) solution that supports greater than 86% efficiency.
The drivers have an internal 725V MOSFET delivers better withstand performance during line surges.
