Magnetic inductance solutions transfer power between two coils that are placed in close proximity to each other, but that can be separated by non-interfering materials such as a plastic mobile phone enclosure or wooden table top. This technology facilitates the ubiquitous deployment of charging ‘hot spots’, enabling consumers to charge their devices by simply placing them on a surface. The company has pioneered this market by introducing what is claimed to be the world's first true single-chip wireless power transmitter IC and the industry's first multi-mode capable single-chip wireless power receiver IC. The highly integrated wireless power receivers are multi-mode capable and significantly reduce board footprint and bill-of-materials (BOM) cost compared to other solutions. The magnetic induction devices are capable of "multilingual" (multi-mode) operation, supporting both the Qi wireless charging standard as well as proprietary formats for added features, improved safety, and increased power output capability.
