The capacitive switches from knitter-switch, series CTK, are an alternative to the popular anti-vandal pushbuttons as their IK-rating of IK10 conforms to highest requirement categories. The IP rating for dust and water is IP68. They are smarter than the normal vandal resistant types, as the integrated electronics can be used with momentary and latching function with NO, NC or changeover contact. Ring illumination, legend etching or indicator light with one or two LEDs are possible.
They can be used without any change to front panels, as they are based on common measurements and designed to be vandal resistant. In addition to that they can be supplied in a 22mm and a 16mm version. The switches work in a voltage range from 5VDC to 30VDC. There are two models of contact rating of 0.2A and 1.5A, making it possible to switch high-power LED lamps.
